Job Summary
Conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, and enforce security procedures to safeguard people and property. Respond swiftly to alarms and emergencies while maintaining accurate logs and executing routine tasks like managing security systems. Coordinate with law enforcement, assist visitors and employees professionally, and ensure compliance with all licensing and legal requirements. Carry a firearm and exercise sound judgment in high-stress environments. This full-time, 2nd shift weekend role requires a valid security license, pistol permit, and driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid State Security License
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must complete armed training and maintain a valid pistol permit
- Valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company approved driver standards
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Availability to work weekends
- Strong situational awareness and curiosity
- Ability to stay calm and problem-solve in critical situations
- Basic computer skills; able to use a tablet for reporting
- Stand for at least 1 hour without support or break
- Sit for at least 1 hour without break
- Walk at least 1/2 mile without stopping
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of verifiable security, military or law enforcement experience
- Alabama Security Regulatory Board License, preferred
- Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses
- State Issued Driver's License (Not Expired)
- Friday-Sunday 3pm-11pm
- Monday-Tuesday 11pm-7am
- 2nd Shift, Weekends, Summers
