Job Summary
Armed Security Specialist responsible for maintaining a safe environment through foot patrols, stationary posts, and surveillance; deter crime and respond to emergencies; operate firearms legally; produce clear reports; maintain professional appearance; obtain required security credentials; participate in the armed licensing program where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be legally eligible to carry a firearm
- Completion of all state and/or municipal mandated firearms training
- Successful completion of live-fire qualification demonstrating accuracy and safe handling under pressure
- Ability to obtain and maintain a state-issued Agent Card and any required guard card(s)
- Must pass a federal background check
- Physical requirements to stand, walk, patrol, lift up to 50 pounds
- Prior experience in law enforcement, the military or security preferred
