Job Summary
Armed Security Officer (Roving Patrol) in Northern Virginia responsible for roving vehicle and foot patrols across property streets, parking lots, and common areas to monitor for damage, criminal activity, and security breaches. Duties include foot patrols of courtyards, offices, pools, and corridors; monitoring for suspicious activity; checking doors and ensuring alarms are set; conducting security assessments and reporting lighting issues, trash, and other potential breach points. Prepare clear, accurate reports per Operations Manual; follow site Post Orders; use Signal's 88Edge software for patrols and real-time reporting. Role requires no use of force, only visual deterrence. Requires DCJS registrations (01E/05E/75E), drug test, background check, valid driver's license, and ability to work nights/weekends/holidays in the United States. Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel within the Northern Virginia area.
Required Qualifications
- Current DCJS 01E, 05E, and 75E registrations (required before first shift)
- Must have reliable transportation in Northern Virginia area
- Must be able to work nights, weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun) and holidays
- Must pass drug test and background check
- No criminal convictions; valid driver's license
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to learn and use Signal 88Edge software
- Ability to provide proof of work eligibility in the United States
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, employees, and the public
- Ability to perform patrols and write clear reports in accordance with post orders
- Ability to complete training modules
