Job Summary
Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, identify potential security breaches or hazards, and deter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents promptly. Control access points to prevent unauthorized entry, provide emergency response including de-escalation and arrest control, and coordinate with local law enforcement when required. Maintain clear incident reports and engage individuals courteously to enforce rules. This role requires a valid Armed Security License, own firearm, and ability to work various shifts including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Background in Military Police, law enforcement, or certified corrections
- Own firearm
- Valid license to carry
- Armed guard license
- Understanding of and commitment to all local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High School Diploma
- Armed Security License
- Security Guard Card
- Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use
- Top Security Clearance in the past 5 years
- Security Clearance in the past 5 years
- Strong observational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- High level of professionalism and discretion
- Prior training or certification in security management, conflict resolution, or emergency response
- Capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods
- Capable of lifting or moving objects up to 50 lbs as needed
