Job Summary
Patrol assigned premises to maintain high visibility, monitor entrances and exits, and remove trespassers as needed. Respond to inquiries from the public and reports of suspicious activity, while protecting assets, staff, and the general public. Complete daily activity reports and document any incidents. This role requires a VA DCJS licensed Armed Security Officer with prior security experience and strong report writing skills. Full-time employees earn $50,000 annually with health benefits and vacation time, while part-time staff are paid $23/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position
- Valid VA Department of Criminal Justice armed security registration
- High school diploma/GED
- Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
- Strong written communication skills and report writing ability
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
