Job Summary
Patrol assigned areas, monitor surveillance cameras, and inspect property for security breaches. Document suspicious activities, investigate reports, and contact law enforcement or fire departments during emergencies. Escort discharged staff, trespassers, and unwelcome parties off the premises while ensuring doors, windows, and gates are secure after business hours. Maintain calm in high-pressure situations and communicate via phone or handheld radios. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, flexible scheduling, and ability to work 1st shift full-time. Drug-free and alcohol-free status is mandatory before employment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High school diploma, GED, or 10 years of verifiable work experience
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Be able to meet state licensing requirements for Security Officers, if required
- PA ACT 235
- Possess written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings
- Ability to communicate using a phone or hand held radios
- Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment
- Prolonged periods standing and observing the property surroundings
- Have the ability to twist and bend at the waist frequently
- Have access to reliable transportation to and from the work location
