Job Summary
Direct visitors, patients, and employees to appropriate locations while intervening to prevent and control disturbances. Protect all persons on property by monitoring closed-circuit television, alarm systems, and radio communications. Provide way-finding assistance and apply de-escalation techniques during routine interactions. Complete case reports, maintenance logs, and daily data entry with photographic documentation when necessary. Maintain firearms training and pass psychological evaluations to ensure compliance with department standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- applicable Criminal Justice experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid driver's license
- ability to be insurable by the Hospital insurance carrier
- Successfully completed an accredited police academy firearms course
- state approved concealed carry firearms course
- approved firearms training program
- related military firearms training
- Successfully pass a Psychological Evaluation
- Successfully completed weapons retention training
- 6 months of SEH Security Officer 1 experience
- Current Sworn Law Enforcement Officer
- Honorably discharged member of the Armed Forces
