Job Summary
Conduct armed monitoring, patrol industrial or commercial premises, and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security. Circulate among patrons to preserve order, enforce rules and regulations, respond to emergency situations, and investigate incidents while preparing detailed narrative and daily activity reports. Escort individuals to specified locations or provide personal protection as required. Maintain situational awareness during all patrols, including walking or running up to two miles per shift, climbing stairs, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. This part-time, as-needed role supports Prosegur's 24/7 operation across multiple shifts and on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid MD Armed Security Guard License
- One (1) year of experience as a security officer
- Open availability to work all shifts and schedules on call as it is a 24/7 operation
- Reliable transportation
- Good communications skills
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Ability to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis
- Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
- Reliable, positive attitude, and ethical behavior
- Ability to acquire interim security clearance
- High School Diploma
- Armed Security License
- CPR Certification
- Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
- Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
