Job Summary
Armed Security Officer (Part-Time Flex) responsible for patrolling assigned areas, monitoring surveillance, reporting irregularities, controlling access, and assisting staff. Requires on-site presence, high vigilance, and collaboration with law enforcement as needed. Duties include responding to emergencies, enforcing property laws, participating in security training, crowd control, evacuations, and providing initial first aid when required. Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, Level 3 Certification, and an approved weapon and duty rig. Must pass a background check, hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. CPR/first aid certification is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Level 3 Certification Required
- Must have approved weapon and duty rig
- Proven experience as a security officer or guard is preferred
- Knowledge of public safety and security protocols
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent observation and surveillance skills
- Able to provide credible references and pass a comprehensive background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
