Job Summary
Provide security coverage at assigned METRO transit facilities through foot and mobile patrols. Monitor activity, report suspicious behavior, and enforce facility rules while responding to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents. Assist individuals with illness or injury, administer basic first aid, and request emergency assistance when necessary. Identify safety hazards, process visitors, control access, and maintain accurate incident documentation. Follow established General Orders, Post Orders, and supervisor direction. Maintain active Level 3 security certification, baton and OC certifications, and a valid driver's license with a clean record. Complete required 24-hour training and pass physical readiness assessment. Work part-time overnight shifts (16 hours/week) from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Active Level 3 security certification and guard license
- Current baton and OC certifications
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record for the past three years
- Ability to pass the required physical readiness assessment
- Ability to complete 24 hours of required training
- Basic proficiency with computers and technical applications
- Bachelor's degree and demonstrated qualifications for the position
- Associate degree in criminal justice/security and two years of security experience
- Three years of combined military, law enforcement, or corrections experience
- Five years of verifiable commercial security experience
