Job Summary
Conduct armed foot and vehicle patrols to monitor for irregular conditions, secure equipment and people, and prevent criminal activity. Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to ensure constant site awareness, verifying guest credentials at entrances and exits. Sound alarms or contact emergency services for fires, medical issues, or unauthorized persons, while responding promptly to all incidents and disturbances. Investigate accidents and prepare detailed reports on suspicious activities, maintaining comprehensive daily logs. Provide high-level customer service by aiding residents, members, and visitors in a courteous manner, acting as a visual deterrent to crime. Requires valid Florida Class D and G security licenses, a driver's license, and ability to pass background screening and drug test. Schedule includes 16 hours on Saturdays and Sundays; full-time position with major medical, dental, vision, and paid vacation benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Florida Class D and G security licenses
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to pass background screening and drug test
- Ability to pass a mental health assessment

- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have the visual acuity to monitor CCTV and observe surroundings
- Must have the auditory ability to respond to alarms and communicate via two-way radio or telephone
- Ability to clearly exchange information, provide instructions, and draft written reports in English
- Must maintain mental alertness and attention to detail during long periods of observation
- Ability to continuously walk on various surfaces including pavement, grass, and uneven terrain
- Must be able to react quickly to emergency situations, which may include running, climbing stairs, or navigating obstacles
- Must be comfortable working on and around water
- Ability to remain calm and follow safety protocols in the event of a water-based emergency
- Ability to maintain constant alertness and professional posture throughout the assigned period
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing), walk for extended periods, traverse the property, or move between posts for the duration of an 8-hour shift
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a gated country club environment performing patrol, gatehouse, and security dispatch duties
- Experience with alarm systems and responding to alarm activations
- Experience with ABDI gate access system
- Experience with Avigilon camera systems
