Armed Security Officer

Job Summary
Armed Security Officer responsible for monitoring property, reporting suspicious activity, responding to emergencies and incidents, completing daily activity logs and incident reports, de-escalating conflicts, and performing additional security duties as assigned. Requires PA Act 235 certification, a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years of customer service and security/military/law enforcement experience, strong communication and de-escalation skills, basic computer knowledge, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and OPS training. Environment described as high-stress with a focus on professionalism and safety; prior experience in shelters, behavioral health security, or related high-contact settings preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 certification required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of customer service experience
- 3 years of security, military or law enforcement experience is required.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Basic computer knowledge (email, reports, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and OPS training requirements
