Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas at a government transportation headquarters to deter incidents and respond to security concerns. Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while verifying credentials, monitoring access points, and reporting irregularities per site procedures. Conduct regular armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and parking zones to identify security-related issues. Respond to incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies by coordinating with appropriate personnel and public emergency services. Prepare accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations to site leadership and supervision.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent
- Possess an armed guard card or license
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- A valid driver's license (for driving positions only)
