Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas at a government transportation headquarters, including interior zones, exterior grounds, parking, and perimeter locations. Verify credentials at access points, maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity, and report irregularities per site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations by coordinating with personnel and public emergency services. Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. Prepare clear reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations to site leadership.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent
- Possess an armed guard card or license
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- A valid driver's license (for driving positions only)
