Job Summary
Provide high quality armed security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information. Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for site viability. Maintain proficiency in assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons. Greet guests and employees, escort visitors, secure ingress and egress points, and protect classified information. Respond to security alarms, act as a first responder in emergencies, and provide first aid as necessary. Report safety concerns, breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication while interacting with clients and security personnel. Maintain an active Level Three state armed security license and minimum 21 years of age.
Required Qualifications
- Active State Armed Security Level Three Guard License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current driver's license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle
- Level Three New Mexico Guard Card
- Minimum of 21 years of age, or higher as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills
- Able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports
- Able to effectively convey information to the public, client representatives, and fellow employees
- Problem solving skills
- Able to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Able to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Attention to detail
- Able to compile, sort, and interpret data
- Active listening skills
- Able to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
- Able to complete all range qualifications and functions
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or protective service related field
- Law enforcement experience
- Military experience
- Six (6) or more Months of experience as an armed security professional
