Job Summary
Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to safeguard personnel, property, and classified information. Act as a visible deterrent by detecting and reporting suspicious acts, enforcing site rules, and securing ingress and egress points. Greet guests and employees, escort visitors, and respond to security alarms or emergencies as a first responder, providing first aid when necessary. Maintain proficiency in assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons while following site-specific performance manuals. Report safety concerns and security breaches via written and verbal communication.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current driver's license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle
- Level Three New Mexico Guard Card
- Minimum of 21 years of age, or higher as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Attention to detail
- Ability to compile, sort, and interpret data
- Active listening skills
- Ability to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or protective service related field
- Law enforcement experience
- Military experience
- Six (6) or more Months of experience as an armed security professional
