Job Summary
Armed/Unarmed security officer roles in the Los Angeles area requiring a California BSIS Guard Card and Firearms Permit. Responsibilities include crime and violence prevention, customer service, patrols on foot, access control, documenting daily activity and irregularities, responding to emergencies, investigating disturbances, crowd control, and enforcing applicable laws, policies, and codes. Additional duties include conducting pat-downs and metal-detecting searches, communicating with staff and clients, and coordinating with local responders. On-call shifts, with typical engagement of 12-50 hours per week and potential for full-time positions after probation; pay ranges $22-24/hr; benefits include sick leave, holiday pay, and available insurance after waiting period; training opportunities and career advancement may be available. Applicants must hold required BSIS certifications, have 40 hours of training, relevant experience, and meet language and appearance standards.
Required Qualifications
- California Guard Card (BSIS) permit
- Firearms Permit (BSIS permit)
- Chemical Agent permit
- 40 hours BSIS training courses and most recent annual refresher
- One-two years of experience in high end security, military, or law enforcement
- GED or High School Diploma / Transcript & Associates Degree or some verifiable college (preferred)
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Excellent English verbal and written skills
- Neat professional appearance
- Access to reliable transportation

- Own a black business suit, white button down dress shirt, black tie, belt, socks, and dress shoes or shined boots
