Job Summary
Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities at a government-affiliated educational location. Maintain an armed post in accordance with laws, licensing requirements, and company policies; report observations and incidents through established channels. Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, coordinating with school leadership and public emergency responders as appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, entrances, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns. Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, document visitors and incidents, and communicate relevant information to supervisors. This fixed-shift commitment requires a six-month base schedule with the option to pick up additional shifts through the Claim-A-Shift program. Applicants must possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, Armed Guard Card, and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree
- Possess 1 or more years of security-related experience
- Possess 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
