Job Summary
Control access to facilities, patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to identify hazards and detect security violations, and monitor entrances, exits, and overall facility activity including vehicle inspections, gate operations, CCTV monitoring, and remote access systems. Respond to incidents such as medical emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other situations while reporting hazardous conditions and suspicious activities. Staff vehicle checkpoints, protect evidence and secure incident scenes as required, and complete logs, reports, and documentation. Follow all safety rules, company policies, site procedures, and established Use of Force policies. This full-time role supports mission-critical federal operations in the Windsor, Connecticut area, requiring weekends, holidays, and travel.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must have valid US state issued driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation
- Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English
- Must maintain all required licenses, permits, and certifications
- Push-ups: As many as possible within 2 minutes
- Sit-ups: As many as possible within 2 minutes
- 300-meter sprint: As fast as possible
- 165 lb victim drag (82 feet): Pass/Fail
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
- Must be available to travel
- Must meet one of the following: minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience is required in one of the following areas: Armed Security, Law Enforcement, Honorable Military Service in any component of the U.S. Armed Forces, College Degree in Criminal Justice
- CT State Security Guard License
- CT Armed Security Permit (Blue Card)
- Must be willing to work on weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 25–50 lbs as needed
