Job Summary
Conduct daily patrols and control access points while maintaining safety and security for visitors and staff. Observe and report activities on and around the assigned post, de-escalate hostile situations, and safely handle authorized firearms. Collaborate with client staff regardless of rank, greet individuals courteously, and submit written or verbal reports for designated irregularities. Clock in/out, log breaks, and file reports using computer and smartphone apps. Receive and pass down relevant information during shifts. Respond to emergency situations calmly by carrying out policies and following instructions with urgency. Maintain regular attendance and adhere to all safety rules and procedures established by GSG Protective Services.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- Security Guard Permit as required by state law
- Firearms Permit as required by state law
- Chemical Weapons/Pepper Spray Permit as required by state law
- Law Enforcement or Military Experience
- Documents that establish identity
- Documents that establish authorization to work in the U.S
- High School Diploma
- Security Officer License
- Firearms State Permit
- Ability to maintain control of a firearm and/or other assigned weapons in a hostile situation
- Ability to observe and report activity
- Ability to write detailed reports
- Ability to use computer and smart phone applications
Desired Qualifications
- Customer Service experience
- 5 years Security experience
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
