Job Summary
Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify potential security risks, deter and respond to threats, and control access points to prevent unauthorized entry. Provide emergency response including de-escalation, detainment support, or coordination with law enforcement when required. Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation while interacting with the public professionally. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Valid armed guard license, arrest control certification, and prior experience in military police or corrections required. Background investigation and drug screening mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in Military Police, law enforcement, corrections, or comparable armed security role
- Valid armed guard license where required by state law
- Legal authorization to carry and operate a firearm in accordance with applicable regulations
- Certification in arrest control, restraint techniques, or equivalent defensive tactics
- Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local security and firearm regulations
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Active or recent federal security clearance
- Prior experience protecting federal or critical infrastructure sites
- Training in conflict resolution, crisis response, or security management
- Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
- Effective verbal communication and de-escalation skills
- Professional judgment and emotional composure in high-pressure situations
