Job Summary
Conduct routine armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, perimeters, and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while providing customer service to transit employees, passengers, and visitors. Monitor access points for unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and prohibited items, then prepare clear, accurate reports of all observations and incidents for supervisors and emergency responders. Work day shifts including mornings, nights, weekends, and Sundays at a government transit location in Brooklyn, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Valid concealed carry weapons permit
- Valid armed guard card or license
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client
- Valid law enforcement officer license
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Valid driver's license (for driving positions only)
