Job Summary
The Armed Security Officer is responsible for protecting the property, Team Members, and guests of the hotel, while providing superior customer service and assistance. Key duties include safeguarding monetary transfers, conducting preliminary investigations of incidents, maintaining logs for shift activities, and ensuring adherence to guidelines during crises. Applicants should have a minimum of 1 year of security or law enforcement experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to act decisively in high-risk environments. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to carry a firearm.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of hotel and casino Security, or law enforcement experience
- Must be able to prepare, maintain records, and write reports
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Must be able to learn and complete tasks using computer systems
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, and at times, stressful environment
- Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Maintain a clean DMV record
- Provide a current Nevada Motor Vehicle Report to the department management and/or HR
- Must be able to carry a firearm and pass the company training and qualification requirements within 30 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of armed hotel and casino Security or law enforcement experience preferred
- Excellent English reading, writing, and speaking
- Good public speaking and the ability to cope with irrational behavior
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills
