Armed Security Officer

Job Summary
Provide access control and traffic control to ensure safe entry, exit, and movement throughout designated areas. Conduct armed security patrols on foot and in motorized vehicles to maintain a visible presence and deter unauthorized activity. Perform personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks to verify compliance with security standards. Inspect packages and parcels in accordance with established security guidelines. Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational requirements. This role supports national security objectives within Chenega's Strategic Security Business Unit, representing federal clients with professionalism while safeguarding critical personnel and operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard)
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
- Ability to successfully meet all Physical Agility Test (PAT) standards as required by the customer
- Completion and passing of the MMPI psychological assessment
Desired Qualifications
- Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer - armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard)
- Associate's degree in a Security or Law Enforcement related field
- Successful completion of a police officer's basic training academy
