Job Summary
Security Officer at Alyeska Pipeline (TAPS) responsible for protecting work sites, personnel, and assets from threats and disruptions. Duties include making arrests if necessary, handling firearms (handguns, shotguns), conducting searches, responding to emergencies, maintaining radio communications, interviewing witnesses, gathering information, and maintaining composure across varying conditions. Requires clean driving record, one year of security or law enforcement experience, and completion of required background checks and medical exams. Room-and-board provided with transportation between Anchorage/Fairbanks and jobsite; two weeks on/two weeks off rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Minimum of one year of experience as an officer (or above) with a municipal, state or federal law enforcement agency, military police unit, corrections or private security company within the past five years
- Reliable access to a smartphone capable of running apps for scheduling, timekeeping (clocking in/out), shift communications, and time-off requests
- As a condition of employment, must be able to successfully complete a criminal background investigation, driving record check, drug screen, and a post-offer physical/functional capacity exam.
