Armed Security Officer

Job Summary
Conduct access control at all entry and exit points to ensure only authorized personnel and guests are permitted on property while removing unauthorized individuals. Quickly respond to emergency situations based on available information and training, making appropriate notifications and following established procedures. Patrol the perimeter, exterior, and interior of the property to ensure the safety of all personnel and protection of the facility. Complete written reports as required, identify threats to employees, facilities, and operations, and maintain appropriate firearm licenses and certifications. Perform assigned training according to Club policies and procedures. This 24/7 resource provides assistance and services to all employees and guests at Auto Club Enterprises, the largest club within the national AAA federation serving nearly 18 million members across 24 states.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- acceptable Department of Motor Vehicles record
- minimum liability insurance - Issued by State
- Guard Registration - Bureau of Security & Investigative Services
- Firearms Permit/License
- 4-6 years Armed security work experience in a professional setting
- Familiarity with Security policies and procedures
- Experience performing technical procedures and completing reports
- Ability to work calmly and effectively while under duress
- Exercise sound judgment regarding the use of weapon
- Dedicated to providing quality service
- Ability to quickly assess and respond to emergency situations while maintaining composure and professionalism
- Ability to follow detailed, step by step, procedures
- Understand operational priorities, take initiative, and exercise sound independent judgment
- Capable of working independently without extensive direction or oversight
- Use technology to process information, improve security and communications
- Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
