Job Summary
Maintain overall facility security by enforcing access control, patrolling premises, and monitoring personnel while documenting all activity in Daily Activity Reports and incident logs. Control vehicle and personnel entry according to established procedures, respond to emergencies, and operate specialized equipment such as CCTV systems and vehicle scales. Prevent losses by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy, while driving a culture of constant improvement through identified efficiency projects. Enforce Sizemore's and client's policies, support core values of flexibility and safety, and assist with vacancies or operational demands as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school graduate or recipient of GED
- OPEN AVAILABILITY
- Ability to pass a criminal background
- Ability to pass a clean MVR check (if driving)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment and random employment drug screens
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to read/comprehend detailed instructions
- Ability to process information with accuracy and clarity
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor
- Ability to possess patience, tact, enthusiasm as well as diplomacy when dealing with any person no matter the circumstances
- Ability to possess initiative and sound judgement in evaluating and reacting to situations
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in potentially stressful and time sensitive situations
- Ability to possess good problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize
- Ability to work in a climate-controlled building and/or outside in various weather conditions
- Ability to perform extensive walking, standing, and sitting
- Ability to handle threatening situations
- Ability to encounter bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
- Dress code: Requires that all tattoos are not visible when wearing the prescribed uniform
- Tattoos on the head, face, neck, or hands are not allowed
- All facial piercings must be removed while on duty
- Facial hair must be clean shaven (except for a mustache)
- Hair should be clean, neatly trimmed, and a natural color
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, military or law enforcement
- Proficient with MS Office programs
