Job Summary
Conduct vehicle and foot patrols alone to maintain general security of assigned property and detect unauthorized activities. Respond to emergency calls involving medical, fire, and property damage while utilizing a smartphone to create Daily Activity, Incident, and Facility Maintenance Reports. Maintain consistent performance, attendance, and professional grooming while communicating tactfully with clients, colleagues, and the public. Own all required firearm, gear, and certification permits, including current BSIS Guard Card, Exposed Firearm License, Baton Permit, OC/Pepper Spray, and CPR/First Aid. Work graveyard shifts from Friday to Wednesday with weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a CLEAN Drivers record for the past three years
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must possess a current BSIS Guard Card
- Must possess a current BSIS Exposed Firearm License
- Must possess a current BSIS Baton Permit
- Must possess your own physical Baton
- Must possess a current OC / Pepper Spray Certification and canisters
- Must possess a current CPR / First Aid Certification
- Must own all of your own firearm and gear
- Able to pass a drug test and background check
- Ability to read, write and understand and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions
- Ability to write and understand English
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and take the initiative in completing assigned tasks
- Willing to accept shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Must be in good physical shape
- High attention to detail
