Job Summary
Conduct proactive foot patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment while monitoring and controlling access to client properties. Identify, assess, and respond appropriately to suspicious activity, alarms, emergencies, and critical incidents with sound judgment. Enforce site policies and procedures, assisting employees, visitors, and clients with professionalism and courtesy. Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely incident reports. This active role requires approximately 60-70% outdoor time in all weather conditions across Long Island locations including Greenvale, Roslyn Heights, Great Neck, Cedarhurst, and Woodmere. Applicants must hold a valid New York State Armed Security License and either a pistol permit or NYS Yellow Carry Card.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State Armed Security License
- Valid unrestricted New York State pistol permit or a valid NYS Yellow Carry Card
- Ability to work assignments in Long Island (Greenvale, Roslyn Heights, Great Neck, Cedarhurst, and Woodmere)
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions
- Excellent observation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Professional appearance with a strong customer service mindset
- Proven reliability and strong work ethic
- High School Diploma or GED
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to successfully complete all required screenings and pre-employment training
