Job Summary
Armed Security Officer responsible for highly professional protection of personnel, property, and assets across luxury residential, commercial, and motorsports campus. Duties include patrolling various areas, crime prevention, maintaining a visible security presence, controlling access to buildings and events, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, responding to alarms and incidents, documenting detailed reports, cooperating with local law enforcement, maintaining firearms proficiency, and following use-of-force protocols in line with Tennessee law and internal policy. Must hold Tennessee Armed Security Guard License, be 23+, and complete required trainings; CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days; ability to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 23 years old
- Must have two years of Armed Security Officer, Law Enforcement, or Military experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred
- Must possess an active Tennessee Armed Security Guard License issued by the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance
- Includes successful completion of: 16 hours of basic training, 8 hours of firearms training, Annual in-service firearms qualification
- Must hold or obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of hire
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening
- Must maintain a valid Tennessee driver’s license and clean driving history
- Strong communication, observation, and report writing skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress or emergency situations
- Must be physically able to walk and stand for extended periods and lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of security operations, crime prevention, CCTV, and use of force protocols
- Ability to operate security equipment, firearms, vehicles, and CCTV systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays
- Experience with incident reporting and coordination with local emergency services
