Job Summary
Conduct armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations professionally, requesting assistance from law enforcement or emergency services as needed. Monitor access points, verify credentials, and address unauthorized entry in accordance with established procedures. Provide customer service to government employees, visitors, and the public while carrying out site-specific policies and emergency response activities. Document patrol activity, incidents, and observed hazards through clear reports, communicating significant concerns to designated personnel. Commit to a six-month anchor shift at a designated site, with flexibility to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred
