Job Summary
Conduct fixed-post coverage and routine patrols to deter, detect, and respond to incidents. Maintain daily electronic activity logs and submit them to the Area Manager. Communicate with the Security Operations Center and supervisors, support facility access control, and assist with visitor assistance. Report hazards and suspicious activity; respond to emergencies and notify authorities. Intervene/detain when legally permissible and maintain order on County property. Requires a minimum age of 21 and a high school diploma, along with an Armed NCPPSB license.
Required Qualifications
- 21+ years old
- HS diploma/GED
- Valid NC or SC driver’s license
- Armed NCPPSB (NCGS 74C) license required
- Experience: 3+ years security or 3 years in military (honorable, DD-214), law enforcement, corrections, or probation OR 3 years verifiable private security (or equivalent listed experience)
- Must pass NCPPSB criminal history requirements
