Job Summary
Armed Security Guard or Armed Security Officer responsible for patrolling perimeters and premises, controlling access, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, and responding to disturbances. Must maintain firearms safely and only use as a last resort, while applying strong verbal de-escalation and customer-service skills. Requires active state license and firearms permits, 1+ year of armed-security experience, ability to work flexible shifts including weekends, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Location-focused work in Lawrence, MI and surrounding South Michigan areas; contract-based with potential for transition to permanent roles.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active and valid state security guard license along with all relevant permits for carrying an operational firearm
- Demonstrated, verifiable proficiency in handling and using firearms safely and effectively
- Minimum of 1 year of verified experience as armed security guard or armed security officer
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and verbal de-escalation skills
- Must pass comprehensive criminal background check and drug screen
