Job Summary
Conduct vehicle and foot patrols alone to maintain general security of assigned property and detect unauthorized activities. Respond to emergency calls involving medical, fire, and property damage while utilizing a smartphone to create Daily, Incident, and Facility Maintenance Reports. Maintain professional communications with clients, colleagues, and the public, ensuring consistent attendance and uniform appearance. Own your personal gear, equipment, and firearm, and possess a current BSIS Guard Card, Exposed Firearms Permit, Baton Permit, Pepper Spray certification, and CPR/First Aid certification. Must have a valid California Driver's License with a clean record and three years of security experience including two years in armed security and supervisory roles. Weekend, holiday, and overtime availability is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- MUST have weekend availability
- Must possess a current BSIS Guard Card
- Must possess a current BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit
- Must possess a current BSIS Baton Permit
- Must possess a current Pepper Spray / OC Certification
- Must possess a current CPR / First Aid certification
- Must own your own gear, equipment & firearm
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License with 3 years of a CLEAN record
- Reliable transportation to and from the site
- Previous patrol security experience
- Ability to read, write and understand and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions
- Ability to write and understand English
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and take the initiative in completing assigned tasks
- Willing to accept shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Able to pass a drug test and background check
- Security: 3 years (Required)
- Armed Security: 2 years (Required)
- Supervisory Security Experience: 2 years (Required)
- Must be in good physical shape
- High attention to detail
