Job Summary
Monitor property activity, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents as required while maintaining firearms proficiency and adhering to all safety and legal standards. Apply de-escalation techniques and sound judgment in challenging situations, then write clear, accurate incident and activity reports. Communicate effectively with clients, the public, and supervisors using technology efficiently for reporting and scheduling. Represent PST with professionalism, integrity, and accountability during full-time school shifts in Denver and Aurora. Note: This role requires 21+ years of age, military or law enforcement background, and bilingual Spanish skills is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Military (Combat Arms) or Law Enforcement background
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screening
- Reliable personal transportation (public transit/rideshare not permitted for firearm transport)
- Able to safely use, maintain, operate, and manipulate a firearm, handcuffs, and other issued gear
- Able to wear a duty belt and exterior tactical vest (position-specific) for the duration of assigned shifts
- Able to stand or walk for up to 8-12 hours at a time
- Able to get in and out of a vehicle frequently throughout the shift (position-specific)
- Able to pass the company's basic hand-to-hand defensive skills course
- Strong communication and situational awareness
- CPR certified (or willing to complete provided training)
- Previous armed security experience
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to respond to incidents
- Must be able to maintain firearms proficiency and follow all safety/legal standards
- Must be able to apply de-escalation techniques and sound judgement in challenging situations

- Must be able to maintain a clean, professional appearance in accordance with company and client standards
- Must be able to understand that visible tattoos, facial piercings, or non-traditional grooming may limit eligibility for certain client assignments
- Must be able to get in and out of a vehicle frequently throughout the shift (position-specific)
