Job Summary
Ensure efficient and professional security operations at schools or assigned sites by identifying, reporting, and deterring suspicious activities while maintaining a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Monitor assigned locations with high attentiveness, conduct patrols, control facility access, and respond quickly to dangerous situations or incidents. Communicate effectively with site teams using assigned radios, identify safety hazards, and provide detailed information to authorities as needed. React and respond to threats by physically engaging when necessary, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures regarding use of force. Utilize company scheduling to manage weekly hours for payroll. Full-time or part-time hourly roles requiring valid law enforcement credentials, a driver's license, and ability to pass firearms tests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CPL or Active/ Retired Police ID and be able to provide documentation
- Valid Driver's License and be able to provide documentation
- Law enforcement, corrections, or military experience
- Must be able to pass the firearms test administered by Premier Security Solutions
- Must be able to quickly physically engage to de-escalate and/or respond to security or safety threats
- Must have excellent visual and auditory acuity to see, hear, and interpret observable people, things, behavior, and speech
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, or walk for 100% of the shift as needed
- Must be able to quickly ascend and descend stairs and move as needed to secure premises
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a must
- Judgment and high level of integrity
- High initiative and reliable
- Ability to work in a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork
- Safely and legally operate a motor vehicle
- Required to complete any/all continued training/education classes provided by Premier Security Solutions, relevant to position
- Be able to pass annual qualifications including firearm standards with duty weapon
