Job Summary
Conduct armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols, controlling access and egress while monitoring CCTV and alarm systems. Sound alarms or contact police/fire for unauthorized persons, warn violators of rule infractions, and permit authorized entry. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare detailed reports, and maintain required logs. Aid customers and employees professionally, make emergency notifications per site orders, and submit productivity recommendations to management. Work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice. Apply immediately at the Fort Lauderdale hiring event on Tuesday, August 11, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
- Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
- Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
