Job Summary
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and enforce site policies while maintaining a professional uniform. Respond swiftly to alarms and emergencies, then maintain detailed logs of activities and incidents. Assist staff and visitors with concerns while demonstrating situational awareness and calm problem-solving in critical situations. Work weekends as needed and utilize a tablet for security reporting. This full-time second shift role requires an Alabama ASRB license, valid pistol permit, and Navy Standards physical fitness.
Required Qualifications
- Must have flexibility of scheduling
- Mon-Fri 1PM to 9PM
- Must hold or obtain a valid ASRB License issued by the state of Alabama
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must pass Armed training and possess a valid pistol permit
- Must pass a background investigation
- Must complete a psychological assessment
- Must pass an annual physical fitness assessment (Navy Standards)
- Must pass a medical exam to test vision and hearing (color distinction required)
- Officers must possess current OC certification or be willing to obtain certification prior to being assigned a post
- OC carry is mandatory for this assignment based on client and operational requirements
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and potentially stressful work environment
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday), if needed
- Strong situational awareness and curiosity
- Basic computer experience and ability to use a tablet for security reports
- Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 4+ years of Unarmed Security experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office Productivity Suite
- Strong physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Stand for at least 1 hour without support or break
- Sit for at least 1 hour without break
- Alabama Security Regulatory Board License, preferred
- Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses
- Prior Certified Law Enforcement Officer Preferred
- Prior Military Preferred
- Experience: 3+ years of Military, Law Enforcement, or Armed Security experience
