Armed Detention Officer –

Maintain security of prisoners in the courtroom and escort them to and from holding cells using handcuffs, shackles, and other restraints. Transport prisoners from correctional institutes to courthouses and medical facilities, completing reports that record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities. This per-diem role requires a high school diploma, at least three years of detention officer or law enforcement experience, and a state armed carry permit. Candidates must be able to stand for up to six hours and remain alert while working flexible shifts.
