Armed Detention Officer-

Maintain security of prisoners in the courtroom by escorting them to and from holding cells using handcuffs, shackles, and other restraints. Transport prisoners from correctional institutes to courthouses and medical facilities, completing reports to record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities. This per-diem position requires a minimum of three years of detention officer, law enforcement, or military police experience, a high school diploma, and a State Unrestricted Carry Permit. The role involves standing for up to six hours and requires strong verbal and written communication skills. Applicants must hold a CT Guard Card and CT Blue Card.
