Job Summary
Maintain all munitions loading, launch, release, and suspension equipment, including the M61A1 20 mm Gun system. Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble air-to-air and air-to-ground suspension and launch items per established technical orders. Test electrical and electronic circuitry for continuity and voltage while analyzing malfunctions and performing functional checks on bombs and missile systems. Control shop space usage and manage spare parts and materials related to weapons release.
Required Qualifications
- Maintains and Advises all Munitions loading, release and suspension equipment
- Disassembles, inspects, repairs, reassembles Air to Air and Air to ground suspension and launch items
- Tear down and buildup of the M61A1 20 mm Gun to include all scheduled inspections in the established technical orders
- Maintains all related shop equipment
- Tests all electrical and electronic circuitry for continuity, voltage and normal operation
- Analyzes malfunctions
- Performs functional checks of bombs and missile systems
