Job Summary
Run the floor during service, managing table flow, staffing, and timing while coaching front-of-house staff to maintain guest experience. Partner with the kitchen to ensure menu accuracy across flavor, plating, and temperature, and own real-time guest recovery by fixing complaints immediately. Monitor cost controls, scheduling, and inventory while building systems that meet red guide standards. Step in for the General Manager when needed to represent ARLO with the required swagger. This role supports the restaurant's pursuit of Bib Gourmand status at Town and Country Resort in Mission Valley, San Diego.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of restaurant management or strong assistant-management experience
- Upscale casual or better experience
- A palate you trust and aren't afraid to use out loud
- The ability to stay unbothered during a packed patio, a broken POS, and a birthday parade happening simultaneously
- Real leadership instincts
- A genuine interest in San Diego and Baja food culture
- Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays
