Job Summary
Run the floor during service, managing table flow, staffing, and timing while partnering with the kitchen to ensure flavor, plating, and temperature match the menu. Coach and develop front-of-house staff to maintain guest experience during high-volume shifts, and own real-time guest recovery by addressing complaints immediately. Monitor cost controls, scheduling, and inventory without compromising hospitality, and step in for the General Manager when needed to represent the brand. Maintain systems and standards that align with the restaurant's pursuit of Bib Gourmand status. Full-time role in Mission Valley, San Diego, with a salary range of $71,000-$75,000 plus bonus structure, health benefits, and resort perks.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of restaurant management or strong assistant-management experience
- Upscale casual or better
- A palate you trust and aren't afraid to use out loud
- The ability to stay unbothered during a packed patio, a broken POS, and a birthday parade happening simultaneously
- Real leadership instincts
- A genuine interest in San Diego and Baja food culture
- Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays
