Job Summary
Conduct K-12 music instruction aligned with state and district standards while maintaining a cooperative attitude with staff, parents, and students. Deliver lessons across elementary, middle, and high school levels, ensuring students receive appropriate instruction and performance evaluation. Manage additional classes such as the yearbook and student support courses if selected for full-time status. Maintain compliance with District Policies and the teacher contract throughout the 175-day school year. Hold a valid Oregon Teaching License meeting Highly Qualified Requirements and a relevant bachelor's degree.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS or higher degree with a major in one or more of the following areas: Curriculum, Elementary Education, Reading, Music, Early Childhood Education, or similar
- Valid Oregon Teaching License (Must meet Highly Qualified Requirements)
- Skills to motivate students, communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds, direct support personnel, evaluate performance
- Knowledge of age appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code, appropriate instructional subjects
- Holds and maintains an appropriate license and endorsement(s) from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission in the State of Oregon
- Displays a willingness to teach any qualified subject area
- Must be able to provide nitration at assigned levels (Elementary, Middle and High School)
