Ariane 6 Exploitation Monitoring System Engineer

Job Summary

Monitor Ariane 6 exploitation activities including launcher integration, mission preparation, launch system readiness, and post-flight analysis to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Lead independent technical activities such as analyses and inspections to assess technical risks and coordinate corrective actions with the Oversight team and industrial project teams. Serve as the technical interface for the embedded team, ensuring efficient links between ArianeGroup, the back office, and ESA HQ while managing critical LEAP activities. Work three to four days per week at ArianeGroup premises with the remainder at ESA Headquarters in Paris. Fluency in French is required; fluency in English and a master's degree in engineering are mandatory.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Significant experience in the development and exploitation of launch vehicles, subsystems and equipment, in particular in the area of cryogenic propulsion
  • Knowledge of the space industry
  • Knowledge of space transportation systems
  • Understanding of the European launcher sector and the relevant roles
  • Fluency in French
  • Eligible to access information, technology, and hardware which is subject to European or US export control and sanctions regulations
  • Eligible to acquire the security clearance by their national security administrations

Desired Qualifications

  • Personal security clearance
  • International experience, i.e. outside your home country
  • Experience in diverse functional areas relevant to ESA activities
  • Knowledge of another Member State language
