Job Summary
Arena Operator II is responsible for providing guest service and maintaining recreation facilities, including basic ice plant operations, ice making, ice resurfacing, and facility setup for bookings and special events. The role emphasizes leadership in daily tasks, customer-focused interactions, safety and clean facilities, operation of the ice resurfacer and related equipment, and preparation of arenas for ice making, sport courts, and turf. Must be able to work evenings and weekends and hold a High School Diploma with related experience, plus a Class 5 license and First Aid CPR-C certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 2 years related experience
- Knowledge of facility programs and activities, and day-to-day facility operations, including basic ice plant operations, ice making and maintenance, re-surfacer operations, and safe work practices
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent customer services skills and the ability to positively interact with facility guests using strong conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently
- Ability to work varying shifts and hours, including evenings and weekends
- Current Class 5 Driver’s License
- Obtain a current and valid Intermediate (Standard) First Aid CPR-C certification prior to the completion of training
- Submission of Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered
