Job Summary
Walk the Panthers Ice Den daily footprint to ensure a clean, orderly environment and report pressing facility issues to the Director of Operations. Perform tasks necessary for safe daily rink operations, maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across lobbies, common areas, seating, bathrooms, locker rooms, bleachers, and showers. Oversee machinery and equipment as directed, including HVAC systems, water heaters, ice plant operations, and the Zamboni, while ensuring daily ice and board maintenance meets NHL standards. Develop a working knowledge of all equipment used at the facility. This part-time exempt role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a preference for candidates experienced in ice resurfacing equipment and building systems.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to maintain and abide by organizational confidentiality standards
- Ability to work under fluid deadlines and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ice resurfacing equipment including operation, maintenance, and training preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of building systems, equipment, maintenance procedures, tools, controls, and construction practices
- Strong team player with good self-motivational, organizational, and time-management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency
