Job Summary
Area Vice President leads a large portfolio of multifamily properties across multiple locations with accountability for financial performance, asset management, staffing and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include developing and executing annual budgets, maximizing revenues, controlling operating expenses, guiding regional managers, ensuring property NOI growth, conducting quarterly site visits, overseeing capital improvements, and coordinating reporting to owners and clients. Key skills include leadership, strategic planning, budgeting, expense control, compliance with IHFA/HUD regulations, vendor and contract management, and strong communication and collaboration with owners, lenders, investors, and internal teams. Travel is required. Educational background preferred includes Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance, property management, business, real estate or related fields, with a Masters degree a plus; five years of property management experience and a valid driver’s license are noted as part of the candidate profile.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years experience in property management
- Valid drivers license may be required
- Real Estate brokers license a plus
- CAPS or CPM designation a plus
- Masters degree a plus
