Job Summary
Lead all aspects of store operations by staffing, training, and developing leadership teams to deliver sales and profit results while maintaining a friendly shopping environment. Recruit, train, and manage Associates across the Stockroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, ensuring merchandise reaches the sales floor timely and expenses are controlled through best practices. Analyze store reports to evaluate controllable expenses, address variances to company standards, and ensure proper scheduling to meet business objectives. Manage payroll administration, including daily punch edits and Sunday payroll transmission, while overseeing recruitment, retention tools, and performance coaching for Assistant Managers and non-exempt staff. Maintain a safe, secure, and compliant environment by enforcing safety policies, emergency procedures, and loss prevention programs, including annual inventory execution. Model professional appearance and brand standards, supervise customer service programs, and manage merchandise processing, markdowns, and mark-out-of-stock policies. Work evenings and weekends to execute these responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Five or more years of store management experience in a retail environment
- Must maintain a high level of customer service
- Must demonstrate the ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate positively to store associates at all levels
- Ability to train, coach and develop associates at all levels
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks necessary to accomplish goals, develop a schedule to complete tasks and execute to achieve results
- Fluency in English
- Must exercise considerable independent judgement and discretion
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to use all store equipment, including pd ts, registers and pc as required
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store
- Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
- Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
