Job Summary
Open and close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment. Ensure proper merchandise presentation, keep work areas clean, and execute company operational processes. Manage security by controlling entrance/exit, checking EAS devices, and monitoring the sales floor for unsafe conditions. Oversee front-end operations, train staff on cash registers, and control break schedules to expedite customer wait times. Handle merchandise receiving, stockroom organization, and loss prevention tasks including "Code 50" inspections. Process cash pulls, bank deposits, and payroll administration as assigned. Work evenings and weekends in a leading off-price retail chain with over 2,200 stores.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PC as required
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store
- Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
- Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 lbs
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies
- Ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred
